GLAD PÅSK!

This is the view of Idre Fjäll from the side of our house.

Easter is a big holiday in the non religious country of Sweden. Even the Monday after is considered a red day...Red days used to mean holidays and being off. Now it is equated with when the Systembologet will be closed. The most tragic thing that could happen to you is to have a holiday pop up. be off from work and not be able to drink... The lines are so bloody long but no one minds, waiting in line is part and parcel of being Swedish. Being American, I always plan ahead and keep a stash of something hidden in a locked place in case some moochers, I mean friends and relatives stop by...

We are off to the mountains of Dalarna for a last snomobile ride as is is still lots of snow on the ground there. The great thing is that you can hike up the mountains, grill and literally sit on the snow without a coat because it is so warm in the sun.

Glad Påsk, Happy Easter or what ever you believe in...
